The Legalities of Digital Assets

Digital Asset Legalities
I spent over six months stressing about how to make my blogs legal without breaking the bank. I tried several different options, but none of them worked for me. One company had a sales representative who insisted on meeting on his terms—frankly, that was lazy. I would have paid, but in hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t.

The documents I require at the moment are pretty straightforward: Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Return Policy (for future digital downloads), and a disclaimer. I could have gone all out with cookies and tracking disclosures, but those bases are already covered in my updated legal pages—linked at the top of this blog and in the footer of every page.

I found my solution completely by accident. I can’t remember if it was through Facebook or another social media platform, but I came across an attorney whose style I liked instantly. Maria Spear Ollis, also known as The Lunar Lawyer, has an approach that spoke to me. That business name alone was right up my alley!

At first, I opted into her free disclaimer. Then, she offered a basic legal package—including a Privacy Policy and Terms of Use—at a price I couldn’t pass up.

Now, I’m breathing easy, and I have Maria to thank for that. She’s wonderful to work with—yes, we had a few hiccups with downloads at the beginning, but she resolved them quickly. Now, I feel secure in growing my digital assets (blogs, digital downloads, etc.), knowing these documents have me covered.

Maria also provides guidance and tools for copyright, trademarks, internet law, and contracts—all things any serious digital real estate mogul might need.

P.S. This isn’t an affiliate promotion. I’m just genuinely gobsmacked by Maria’s legal lunar magic!
